#4LESSONS Number 3
You must develop the ability to self-actualize
The ability to be honest with yourself takes some time to develop. The only way I keep on challenging myself, is to take a good mental scope of where I am. When I'm being honest, I can see my strengths and my limitations. I can also see where I'm letting myself live out an excuse or put blame on people who I shouldn't. The skill of stepping outside yourself to adjust the EQ can be learned but takes a little time and discipline.
You have to set aside the time to think about the moves you're making. There will be times when you have a clear thought and it's like, "Boom! Okay, I see where I need to adjust". But for me, those aren't as common when I'm on my grind. Every Monday night, I write out my agenda for the week. That's when I really disect everything and grade myself.
Is this my best?
This question has taken me to new heights! It both calls out and challenges my laziness and overall will to settle. I also have a network of people that check in with me about my progress on goals. So I challenge you to ask yourself this question the next time you do anything with measurable results. Be honest with yourself. You deserve it.
